India ranked second in providing the most new citizens to the US, with 65,960 Indians obtaining US citizenship, as per a recent Congressional report. The US Census Bureau’s American Community Survey data shows that around 46 million foreign-born individuals lived in the United States in 2022, making up about 14% of the total US population of 333 million.
