For India Inc, climate change is the new single biggest business  threat

From carmaker Hyundai to skincare company Emami and PepsiCo bottling firm Varun potables, unseasonal showers in summers, irregular rainfall patterns, and different  downfall patters – or climate change, in general – have started impacting the  nethermost line of IndiaInc. 

  ITC said while the Indian frugality remains  flexible, “  pitfalls from the external sector; consumer price affectation( especially food); commodity price volatility; El Nino impact on showers and agri affair – would be the  crucial monitorables in the near term. ”

Its not just Hindustan Unilever Ltd, the country’s largest FMCG company, for which rainfall is the “ single biggest business  threat ”  moment. “ We can’t control the rainfall,  else there’s no reason why we shouldn’t grow.However, we will take care of the rest, ” said Ravi Jaipuria, If you just control the rain Gods.
