Dholpur: An encounter broke out between the gang of robber Keshav Gurjar and the police in Rajasthan’s Dholpur district on Sunday night. During the police firing, the robber Keshav Gurjar was injured after being shot in the leg. After this, the police laid siege to the injured robber Keshav and caught him. After this Keshav Gurjar was admitted to the district hospital for treatment where he is undergoing treatment. It is being told that during the encounter, many policemen have also been shot in bullet proof jackets. The police team is looking for other accomplices of the gang.

According to the information, under the leadership of Dholpur SP Dharmendra Singh Yadav, bari CO Manish Kumar Sharma along with Gold Ka Gurja Police Station, Bari Kotwali, Bari Sadar Police Station Police, DST, ADF and QRT team have carried out this action. Dholpur SP Dharmendra Singh Yadav received information on Sunday that dacoit Keshav Gurjar was hiding in the ravines of Bari subdivision, after which the SP himself reached there along with the team. After an encounter that lasted for about six hours on Sunday night, the robber Keshav was shot in the leg near the temple of Sohan Baba in Behar under Sone Ka Gurja police station area. He was then caught. Bharatpur IG Gaurav Srivastava was monitoring the encounter.

Keshav Gurjar is a resident of Kudinna village in Dholpur district. He had been on the run for nearly 10 years. Mp, UP and Rajasthan police had announced a reward of about one lakh 15 thousand rupees on him. Members of Keshav’s gang have modern weapons. He is not married and has no family. The robber Keshav works like a gangster and collects a ransom.
