Elon Musk criticizes Google, calling them ‘insane racist and anti-civilizational’ for their Gemini chatbot.

Published on

Elon Musk criticized Google for the text-to-image generation feature of its Gemini AI chatbot. Google acknowledged the inaccuracies in historical image generation and mentioned that they are pausing that feature for now.

Musk slammed Google, calling them ‘insane’ and ‘anti-civilization’ for overplaying their hand with the AI capabilities of Gemini. Musk expressed that he is pleased that Google’s actions have made their problematic programming evident to everyone.

Google had recently introduced the image generation function through its Gemini AI models but received complaints about the accuracy of the historical images.

To compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google rushed to launch its own AI software, Bard, which was later rebranded as Gemini. The company also introduced paid subscription plans for better AI reasoning capabilities in Gemini.

Jack Krawczyk, Senior Director of Product for Gemini at Google, mentioned that they are working on improving the accuracy by tuning the models to better reflect historical contexts.
