Bike-borne boys throw acid on minor in Delhi, accused detained

New Delhi: An acid attack was hurled at a schoolgirl in Delhi. The incident took place around 7.30 am in Delhi’s Dwarka Mor area. The girl has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital, where her health is stable. The accused boy already knew the girl. The girl, a class XII student, was on her way to school when the accused committed the crime.

Delhi Police said the girl was with her younger sister at the time of the incident. The victim has raised suspicion on two people she knows. One person has been detained by the police. The victim is said to be 17 years old. At around 7:30 am, acid was thrown at two students on a bike. After the incident, he has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital. Where his condition is said to be stable.

After the incident, the victim’s parents said that the student is a 17-year-old minor. She along with her younger sister had left home at 7.29 am to go to school. The girls had reached some distance from the house when two masked bike-borne boys threw acid on the victim’s face and fled, the family said. At the same time, according to the family, the girl has acid on her face and eyes, the victim has never said that she was bullied by any boy.
