Chennai:
The journey of “Enakenna Yaarum Illaye” reflects an uncommon trajectory within Tamil film
music. Originally produced for the film Aakko, which did not have a theatrical release, the song
was later released independently and gradually built an audience over time.
Produced by Deepan Boopathy along with Ratesh Velu, the track features composition and
vocals by Anirudh Ravichander and lyrics by Vignesh Shivan. In the absence of a film release,
its reach developed through digital platforms, particularly YouTube, where it continued to attract
listeners across different phases of its circulation.

From independent release to wider recognition
According to Deepan Boopathy, the response to the track evolved gradually rather than
immediately. Over time, the song continued to reach audiences across different age groups,
with both earlier listeners and newer audiences engaging with it at different points.
Its sustained presence on digital platforms contributed to this continued reach, allowing the song
to remain accessible beyond its initial release period. The track’s trajectory highlights how
certain works can extend beyond their original context through audience-driven discovery.

The inclusion of “Enakenna Yaarum Illaye” in Love Insurance Kompany, directed by Vignesh
Shivan, marks a further stage in its journey. The film provides a visual context that was not
present when the song was first released.
Deepan Boopathy stated that he welcomed the decision to incorporate the track into a feature
film, noting that the involvement of the original lyricist as director created continuity between the
earlier project and its later adaptation. The development has enabled the song to reach newer
audiences while retaining its original identity.
The composition and vocals by Anirudh Ravichander continue to define the track, reflecting the
musical style of the period in which it was created.
