Congress releases manifesto for Karnataka assembly elections

After the BJP, the Congress has also announced the manifesto for the Karnataka Assembly. The Congress party has promised to ban organisations like Bajrang Dal if it forms the government. Referring to the PFI, the party has said that action will be taken against those who spread hatred in the name of religion. The Congress party has also announced to give 200 units of free electricity to every family, 2 thousand rupees per month to every woman head of the family.

The Congress party has announced to give Rs 3,000 per month to unemployed graduates and Rs 1,500 per month to diploma holders for two years. The Congress party has also promised free travel to women in state government buses.

Key highlights of Congress manifesto

Under Griha Jyoti, Congress to provide free electricity up to 200 units to all households in Karnataka
Each female head of the family will get ₹2,000
Every person from a BPL family will get 10 kg of food grains per month.
Rs 3,000 per month to unemployed graduates and ₹1,500 to unemployed diploma holders under Yuva Nidhi
Free travel for women in KSRTC/BMTC buses
Special allowance of Rs 5000 for night duty policemen
Tax-free diesel is included every year for fishing in the sea.
