Rahul Gandhi on Monday left for Surat court, 11 days after his membership was cancelled from the Lok Sabha after being found guilty in a defamation case. Before leaving for Surat, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi reached Rahul Gandhi’s house to meet him. Priyanka Gandhi, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel have also left for Surat along with Rahul Gandhi. On the other hand, Congress workers are also talking about protesting outside Surat court.

Here, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has targeted the Congress. “Why did Rahul Gandhi not appeal when the trial was held? Now you are doing this drama to scare you. When the court convicted you, then you are doing this drama. This is only to put pressure on the court. The Congress party considers the family above the country.

In response to this, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that people of your family also go to the case. Rahul Gandhi has not called anyone, he is fighting for the country, so people go to his courage. “

On March 23, a Surat court asked Rahul Gandhi to “why all thieves have Modi as their surname”. He was convicted in a defamation case related to the statement. Rahul Gandhi was sentenced to two years in jail and fined Rs 15,000. The court had given Rahul Gandhi 30 days to appeal against the sentence. After this, Rahul is once again reaching Surat.
