Bhim UPI transactions to get incentives, decision taken in Union Cabinet meeting
Now there will be incentives on transactions from BHIM UPI. The Union Cabinet has approved an incentive of Rs 2600 crore for low-cost digital transactions. The cabinet has also decided to form three multi-level cooperative societies.
Apart from this, the Narendra Modi Cabinet has decided to change the name of PM Free Grain Scheme. From now on, the name of this scheme will be PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana Program. In the last cabinet meeting, the free food scheme was extended by one year. Let us tell you that the period of the anna yojana was ending on December 31. The distribution of free food grains to the poor during the Kovid-19 epidemic was started by the Central Government in April 2020. This was extended by one year in the last cabinet meeting.
After the meeting, Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav informed that the Modi Cabinet has approved the establishment of a national level Multi-State Cooperative Export Society under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act 2002. It will help in achieving the goal of prosperity by cooperating with the inclusive growth model of cooperatives.
The last meeting of the Narendra Modi Cabinet was held on January 4. After this, Union Minister Anurag Thakur had told that the National Green Hydrogen was approved by the Union Cabinet, he had told that India will become a global hub of green hydrogen. This will produce 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen per year. Union Minister Anurag Thakur had claimed that the National Green Hydrogen Mission will attract a direct investment of Rs 8 lakh crore and will create 6 lakh jobs. Apart from this, he said that 382 MW Sunni Dam Hydroelectric Power Project has been approved for Himachal Pradesh.
