The special CBI court on Friday acquitted actor Sooraj Pancholi in the actress Jiah Khan suicide case.
Sooraj Pancholi was present in the court room at the time of the verdict. The court said, the evidence against you is not enough, so acquittal is given.
Suraj Pancholi was accused of abetting actress Jiah Khan to commit suicide. Actress Jia Khan committed suicide on 3 June 2013 in her flat in Mumbai. After 10 years of this incident, the decision came on Friday. At that time, actor and boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on the complaint of actress Jia’s mother. But Suraj later got bail.
At that time, the police had received a 6-page suicide note from Jia’s house. According to the suicide note, Jiah was upset because of her strained relationship with Sooraj. After this Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan filed a case against Sooraj.
