Udaipur: A bulldozer was fired at the udaipur resort of divya Mittal, the then ASP of Rajasthan SOG (Ajmer), arrested for demanding a bribe of Rs 2 crore. It is being told that Divya had taken land approval from UIT for a farm house in Chikalwas village, about 25 km from Udaipur, but commercial use was being done by building a resort here. In such a situation, the UIT first gave notice and asked for a reply, but when the reply was not received, the UIT took this action.
Before the action, the UIT shifted the tourist staying here from the vehicle to another hotel. After this, the goods were evacuated from the resort till late night. On Friday morning, action was started to break the resort with bulldozers. It is being told that Divya had built a luxurious resort without changing the land use (diversion) of this farm house. Due to commercial use, UIT considered it wrong.
Divya Mittal was arrested by the ACB on January 16 for demanding a bribe from a Haridwar-based drug dealer. The bribery was sought in exchange for removing the businessman’s name from the list of accused.
