This year’s festive season has been amazing as there has been an increase in online as well as offline sales of e-commerce sites.  In these sales, discounts and offers were available on many things from home appliances to smartphone gadgets and electronic devices.  Let us tell you that Flipkart’s sale has been very popular in small cities.

This year, in the festive season, customers are delighting all types of sellers.  There is an expected increase of 15-35 percent in the sales of all types of home appliances used in houses and vehicles as compared to last year.

This time customers are shopping on both online and offline platforms, hence offline sellers also have no complaints from customers this time.  Big Billion Days was launched on Flipkart last week and according to the company’s data, 1.4 billion customers visited its platform in seven days to participate in the shopping festival.

The sale was more than last year

According to the report of Redseer Strategy Consultant, in the first four days of last week, e-commerce companies made 16 percent more sales as compared to last year’s festive season sale.

Last year, e-commerce companies had made sales of Rs 25,000 crore in the first four days of the festive season, which this time was Rs 29,000 crore.

Sales of Rs 3 lakh crore are expected: According to Confederation of All India Traders, an organization of offline shopkeepers, sales of Rs 3 lakh crore are expected in this year’s festive season, whereas last year there was a sale of Rs 2.5 lakh crore in the festive season.  According to the Confederation, this is the first year after the Corona epidemic when people are enthusiastic about the festival.

Car sales also increased

  1.  Expectation of 20 percent jump in car sales. Car companies also expect 20 percent jump in sales in Dussehra and Diwali.  Car companies are mainly expecting a sharp jump in the sales of cars priced above Rs 10 lakh.

If we compare the sales during Durga Puja alone, it will be 15 percent more than last year.  This sale will continue further with the onset of winter.  V Mart MD Lalit Aggarwal said that the festive season starts from Onam and during that time our sales increased by 35 percent.

During Dussehra and Diwali, we are aiming to increase the sales of our products like fridge, TV, AC by 35-40 percent as compared to last year.

Kamal Nandi, Vice President of Godrej Appliances, said that there will be an increase in house and vehicle sales.  Housing.com CEO Dhruv Aggarwal said that generally there is an increase in house sales during October-December.

With no increase in repo rates and a strong economy, demand for houses is expected to remain strong during the festive season.
