Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested by the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday. The arrest was made by Pakistani Rangers. Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had reached the High Court for bail in connection with the cases against him. Meanwhile, Imran Khan was arrested.

Imran Khan, as prime minister, had illegally given land worth crores of rupees to this university. Malik Riaz, the richest man in Pakistan, had alleged that Imran and his wife got land worth billions of rupees in their name by showing him fear of arrest.
High Court Chief Justice Amer Farooq ordered the Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and the Police Chief of Islamabad to appear before the court within 15 minutes after the arrest. Justice Farooq said that if the police chief does not appear in the court, then he will call the Prime Minister of Pakistan here.
