Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot along with his supporters will observe a day-long fast at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Jaipur on Tuesday. Sachin Pilot has announced a one-day hunger strike during Vasundhara Raje’s tenure as chief minister. Sachin Pilot will keep common supporters with him instead of supporting ministers and MLAs in his fast.

In fact, former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot had said in a press conference on Sunday that I wrote to Chief Minister Gehlot twice regarding action on the scams that took place during the time of former CM Vasundhara Raje, but Gehlot did not take any action. He said that no action was taken on corruption in former CM Vasundhara Government. While in opposition, we had promised that an inquiry would be conducted.

Sachin Pilot said that with 6-7 months left for the election, opponents can spread confusion that there is no collusion, action will have to be taken quickly to prove that Congress workers feel that there is no difference between our words and actions. “What is the reason that despite coming to power again and again, we do not take any action on the allegations made while in the opposition? When we go to the polls again, someone believes us, so it is important that we take some action.

It is being told that Sachin Pilot’s supporters from all over the state will reach Jaipur to join the fast. Pro-Pilot leaders and MLAs had yesterday given a message to the supporters to reach Jaipur. It is also being said that Sachin Pilot has decided to keep the supporting ministers and MLAs away from the hunger strike as part of the strategy.

After former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot announced his hunger strike, the internal politics of the Congress has heated up again. State in-charge Sukhjinder Randhawa is reaching Jaipur on Tuesday afternoon for damage control in the pilot case. Randhawa will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra to try to control the damage in this matter.
