Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express at Chennai station. This train will reduce the train travel time between the two cities by more than an hour. This train will cover the distance between the two cities in 5 hours 50 minutes. PM Modi also interacted with school children in the train.
Earlier, PM Modi inaugurated the new integrated terminal built at Chennai Airport. He also held a roadshow from the airport to Chennai railway station. During this 10 km show, people welcomed PM Modi by showering flowers.
According to the information, PM Modi reached Tamil Nadu at around 3 pm. Pm Modi was received at the Chennai airport by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Governor R.N. Ravi and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
After visiting the new integrated terminal of the airport, the PM went to attend the program organized to mark 125 years of Ramakrishna Math.
