A bailable warrant has been issued against Krishna Poonia, MLA from Sadulpur (Churu) in Rajasthan. Mla Poonia is accused of abetting the suicide of vishnudutt Bishnoi, the then in-charge of Rajgarh police station in Bikaner division. In this case, the Central Bureau of Investigation had filed a final report (FR) calling the allegations against Poonia baseless. After this, the hearing was held in the CBI court of Jodhpur. The court has directed the CBI to take cognizance of the matter again.

Actually, on May 23, 2020, the then Station Officer of Rajgarh Vishnudutt Bishnoi committed suicide. Vishnu Dutt’s brother Sandeep Bishnoi had accused Sadulpur MLA and Congress leader Krishna Poonia of harassing him. Sandeep had lodged an FIR blaming Krishna Poonia for Vishnu Dutt’s suicide.

The case was earlier investigated by the CB CID. The locals demanded that the investigation be handed over to the CBI. After this, the state government handed over the case to the CBI. The CBI had filed an FIR in its investigation. The FR report was presented at acmm in Jodhpur. The court here has dismissed the FR while ordering re-investigation of the case. Also, mla Krishna Poonia has been summoned while issuing a bailable warrant.

In this regard, MLA Krishna Poonia’s side has been told that ‘we are completely innocent in this case. The court has dismissed the CBI’s FIR. We will further appeal to the High Court. ‘
