There has been a loud uproar in Delhi ahead of the election of six members to the MCD’s mayor, deputy mayor and standing committee. It is being told that the Aam Aadmi Party councillors created a ruckus here. All of them are opposing the oath of the nominated members. AAP councillors also surrounded and manhandled the presiding officer. During this, he also clashed with BJP members. After this, the election process was postponed for an hour.

On the other hand, The Congress has decided not to participate in the mayoral elections. It is being told that the newly elected councillors will be administered the oath of office and secrecy first. After this, the mayor and deputy mayor will be elected through ballot paper. 273 members will vote in the mayoral election. A majority of 133 is needed. The AAP has 150 votes and the BJP has 113 votes.

According to the information, the nominated members were being sworn in the First In the House. Then the Aam Aadmi Party councillors opposed it. Aam Adam Party councillors said that they should first take oath, which has been elected by the people. On this, the BJP said that AAP leaders are not aware of the rules at all. That’s why they are creating a ruckus.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh said nominated members do not take oath first, but the BJP is changing the tradition. “Bjp people are killing our councillors inside the House. Sanjay Singh questioned that if the people of Delhi defeated the BJP in the elections, will their leaders kill our people? On the other hand, BJP MP Parvesh Verma said that today is the darkest day in the history of MCD. Aam Aadmi Party councillors beat up women councillors of BJP in the House after consuming alcohol, attacked them with sharp objects and pulled them by holding their hair.

Aap has fielded Shelly Oberoi for the mayoral post, while Rekha Gupta is contesting on behalf of the BJP. At the same time, aap has fielded Mohammad Iqbal and BJP has fielded Kamal Bagri for the post of deputy mayor.
