A 35-year-old man travelling in a train died painfully after being hit by an iron rod. The incident took place near Aligarh while travelling in the Nilanchal Express. People present at the spot say that at the time of the accident, repair work was going on on the railway track. Someone carelessly placed the iron rod there, due to which this accident happened.

After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem. The police team is trying to gather information from the spot. Due to this incident, the movement of trains on the track was stopped for a long time. Due to this, railway passengers also had to face problems for some time.

Preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that the incident took place on platform number 3 of Somna railway station in Aligarh district. A passenger travelling on seat number 15 of the second coach of the Nilanchal Express train died on the spot after an iron rod crossed through his neck. The deceased passenger is said to be a resident of Sultanpur. On receiving the information, top officials of RPF, CRPF and Railways reached the spot and started collecting information about the incident.

Rpf CO KP Singh said that Nilanchal Express arrived at platform number 3 of Aligarh station at around 9.30 pm. It was reported that a passenger in the next general coach has suffered an injury. On receiving this information, all railway employees along with RPF and GRP reached there. After the engine, a passenger was found dead on seat number 15 of the second coach. A rod had entered from his left side, which came out through his right side. Due to this, the passenger had an on-the-spot death. Efforts are being made to find out when and where the incident took place. According to the information received so far, the deceased passenger was a resident of Sultanpur. At the same time, further investigation of the case is still going on.
