Sidhu Moosewala murder accused deported in US, claims Punjab CM

Goldie Brar, the mastermind of punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder, has been detained in the US. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made this claim. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has told that gangster Goldie Brar has been detained in California. Earlier, quoting sources in the agencies, it was revealed that Brar has been detained in California.

However, news agency PTI quoted Punjab Police officials as saying that there has been no official confirmation of Brar’s detention so far. Singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead on May 29 in Punjab’s Mansa district. Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had claimed responsibility for the murder. Lawrence Bishnoi, who is in jail in this case, has also been questioned by the police several times. It was at Bishnoi’s behest that Moosewala was shot.

Earlier, a Red Corner Notice was issued against Goldie Brar. A Red Corner Notice is issued for the arrest or detention of fugitive criminals abroad. Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, a resident of Sri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, had gone to Canada on a student visa in 2017. He is an active member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Brar was also a key conspirator in the murder of a Dera Sacha Sauda follower last month. Indian agencies have been searching for him for the last several years.

According to the information, the US intelligence agency FBI has traced Goldie Brar, the accused in Moosewala. He had been tracking for several days, after which he was found to be based in California. Goldie was detained by the FBI a few days ago, after which his documents have now been sought from Indian agencies. Goldie can now return to India after being detained. Indian agencies can start preparing for his extradition as soon as possible.
