A truck and a trailer collided head-on on Barmer-Jodhpur National Highway 25 in Rajasthan. Both the vehicles caught fire with the collision. On seeing this, the fire took a terrible form. The driver was trapped in the trailer and burnt alive in the accident. The incident took place in Araba Doli village under Kalyanpur police station area of Barmer district. The fire was brought under control after nearly three hours of struggle with the help of tractor tank and fire brigade.
According to the police, the tyre of the truck coming from National Highway 25 Jodhpur towards Balotra burst near Doli-Araba petrol pump. In such a situation, he confronted the trailer coming from the front. With the collision, both the vehicles suddenly caught fire. Within minutes, the fire took a severe form. During this time, the people around tried to extinguish the fire, but failed to extinguish the fire. Here, the driver and khalasi of the truck got out after the accident. But in the second trailer, the driver got trapped and died of burn injuries alive.
According to the police, one of the trucks was loaded with rice cuts and the other was loaded with plastic grains. Due to this, the fire in both the trucks had taken a severe form. Police have kept the body in the mortuary.
