Aftab Amin Poonawala, accused in the murder of 27-year-old Shraddha in Delhi, was presented in Saket court on Thursday through video conferencing. Court has extended Aftab’s police custody by 5 days. The police had asked the court to recreate the scene by taking the accused to the Parvati Valley of Himachal and the forest areas of Delhi. The court has given permission for the narco test of Aftab. According to media reports, Aftab has confessed during police interrogation that he had burnt Shraddha’s face to hide her identity.

According to media reports, Aftab had cut Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces in the bathroom of the flat on May 18. During this, he used to keep the shower on so that the blood coming out of the body flows into the sewage. Aftab had cleaned the fridge with chemicals so that the evidence could be destroyed. Both lived in live-in. Aftab had bought a 300 liter fridge to keep Shraddha’s body pieces. He used to go to the forest every night at 2 am for 18 days to throw the pieces of the dead body.

The doctor who had treated Aftab’s amputated hand in May has been made a key witness by the police. In fact, when the police searched Aftab’s flat, a doctor’s prescription was found. After this, the police reached the doctor’s clinic in Mehrauli with Aftab. Where the doctor told that on asking about Aftab’s injury, he had told about cutting his hand while cutting fruit. He seemed aggressive and restless.
