Named Statue of Union to symbolize Lord Hanuman’s role in uniting Rama and Sita, the project was envisioned by Chinna Jeeyar Swami, as stated on the statue’s official website.
Located at the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land, Texas, the site emphasizes that “The Union will be North America’s tallest statue of Lord Hanuman, representing strength, devotion, and selfless service. Hanuman is known for bringing together Sri Rama and Sita, which is reflected in the name, Statue of Union. This project, envisioned by His Holiness Sri Chinnajeeyar Swamiji, serves as an opportunity for our community to create a lasting legacy for future generations to seek the blessings of Lord Hanuman.”
