The Supreme Court has ordered Himachal Pradesh to release 137 cusecs of water on June 7 to alleviate the water scarcity in Delhi

In response to the water shortage crisis in Delhi, the Supreme Court of India has ordered the Himachal Pradesh government to release 137 cusecs of extra water to the national capital. Justices Prashant Kumar Mishra and KV Viswanathan, sitting on the vacation bench, have also directed the Himalayan state to release the water on June 7, after informing Haryana beforehand.
