100 units of electricity free in Rajasthan, no examination fees for government jobs

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot presented his tenth budget on Friday. Keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections, the government has made several free announcements. Although the highest expectations were announced for new districts, Gehlot has made it clear that he will consider it after the report of the ‘Ramlubhaya’ committee comes. This budget has been presented with a target of 2028.

Apart from this, the state government has increased the amount of treatment under Chiranjeevi Scheme from 10 lakh to 25 lakh. Apart from this, free electricity has also been increased from 50 units to 100 units. Now the residents of Rajasthan will get 100 units of electricity free of cost. Keeping in mind the youth, it has been announced not to charge fees in competitive examinations, that is, competitive examinations will be free. He also announced free travel for students up to 75 km in roadways buses. Women will also be given a discount of up to 50 percent in the fare.

The state government has also announced one lakh new jobs. Apart from this, many announcements have been made including opening of new universities, colleges, hostels, schools, hospitals in the state. However, there was a ruckus in the Assembly even before the budget speech started. CM Gehlot read the old budget by mistake, after which the opposition created a ruckus. However, the CM expressed regret for this.
