Former Andhra CM Kiran Reddy joins BJP
Senior Congress leader and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy joined the BJP on Friday. A day before this, Anil Antony, son of senior Congress leader AK Antony, had joined the BJP. BJP is strengthening itself in the South. This is the second time in two days that a senior Congress leader is joining the BJP.
Let us tell you that while leaving the Congress, Kiran Kumar Reddy sent a one-line resignation letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Kiran Reddy has already resigned from Congress. Even in 2014, when the UPA government decided to separate Telangana from Andhra, Kiran Reddy left the party in protest.
At that time, after leaving the party, he formed his Jai Samaikya Andhra Party and also fielded candidates in the general elections, but did not win a single seat. After this Reddy stayed away from politics for a long time and joined Congress back in 2018 but after that he again left the Congress party and has now joined BJP.
